We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wine Connoisseur to join our team at Mandarin Oriental Palace Luzern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain a comprehensive wine list, ensuring a diverse selection of fine wines from around the world.
• Develop and implement wine education programs for staff and guests, promoting a culture of wine appreciation and knowledge.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to create wine pairing menus and recommendations, enhancing the overall dining experience.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring guests receive personalized wine recommendations and exceptional service.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest wine trends, releases, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and revenue.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining restaurant or wine industry setting.
• Strong knowledge of wine, including wine regions, grape varieties, and wine production methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and suppliers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
