About the Opportunity
The University of Neuchâtel's Institute of Chemistry is seeking a highly motivated research scientist to contribute to our ongoing research project, MiMOC: Mineral-Mediated Organic Carbon dynamics in soils and sediments. As part of this project, you will investigate iron mineral transformations and their impact on carbon dynamics in redox-dynamic soil and sediment environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to study iron mineral transformations and coupled organic carbon dynamics
- Publish research results in top-tier scientific journals
- Present research findings at national and international conferences
- Participate in teaching and supervision of laboratory practical courses for students
Requirements
- MSc degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, chemistry, or geology
- Demonstrated expertise in wet chemistry techniques and laboratory experimentation
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Fluent English language proficiency
