We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Business Counsel to join our team and play a key role in shaping our direct procurement function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish strong relationships with the direct procurement team and provide strategic legal guidance to support their commercial objectives.
  • Partner with global procurement leadership and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective commercial contracts, including product supply agreements, contract manufacturing agreements, and general terms and conditions.
  • Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, global competition laws, chemical product and environmental regulation, trade compliance, intellectual property, conflicts of interest, and privacy.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the chemical industry and its regulatory landscape to provide informed legal advice to the business.

Requirements

  • Law degree or equivalent, with a strong background in commercial law and a proven track record of success in a private law firm or in-house law department.
  • 5-10 years of post-qualification legal experience, with a focus on commercial law and a strong understanding of the chemical industry.
  • Excellent business and legal acumen, with the ability to provide pragmatic and solution-oriented advice to the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with business clients in a complex and fast-paced environment.
