Scientist in Conditional Gene Disruption

We are looking for an experienced and motivated person with several years' research experience in a relevant research field.
The successful candidate should have a strong background in molecular cell biology and experience in working with kinetoplastid parasites.
A proven track record of developing new tools or protocols in a relevant area of research and leading research projects to a conclusion is essential.
- PhD in a relevant subject
- Several years' postdoctoral experience of working with kinetoplastid parasites in the laboratory
- Experience in high-throughput screening methods, such as screening genome-wide libraries
- Advanced practical skills in molecular cell biology methods, including microscopy, protein assays, and DNA sequencing.
- Advanced bioinformatics skills including data analysis and visualization with R and Python.
- Experience of image data analysis and processing of microscopy images with software such as FIJI
- Proven track record of developing new tools or protocols in a relevant area of research
- Proven track record of leading research projects and bringing projects to a conclusion, as evidenced e.g. by publications in peer-reviewed journals
- The ability to keep detailed and accurate records
- The ability to communicate effectively
- The ability to work as a member of a team
- Experience of providing supervision to junior members of a research lab
