The Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich has 80 guest rooms and suites and three dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant and a lobby lounge. The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom. About the job Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department in Zurich, the F&B Trainee is responsible for assisting the In-Room-Dining team to always provide impeccable service to guests. The F&B Trainee reports to the In-Room-Dining supervisors and In-Room Dining manager. Starting Dates: November 2025 and January 2026 As F&B Trainee, you will be responsible for the following tasks: - Professional advice and customer care for our guests - Professional serving of food and drinks - Complying with our high-quality standards - Preparing the required mise-en-place, covering and cleaning work in the restaurant area - Supporting your superiors in their daily tasks - Assisting in the preparation and implementation of special events - Complying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelines As Trainee, we expect from you: - Enrolled as a student in a Swiss Hotel Management school - Flexibility and ability to work under pressure - your position will include weekend and holiday shifts - Good organisational skills with the ability to handle reservations - Good understanding of luxury service and willingness to go the extra mile - Expressiveness, open-mindedness, and team spirit - Ability to work under pressure and flexibility - Very good knowledge of German and English.
