As a Junior Analyst – Private Equity Secondaries, you will receive comprehensive training in critical areas such as financial modeling, building investment convictions through a thematic approach, equipping you with essential skills for your career. You will gain valuable hands-on experience within our Private Equity team, contributing to various projects and supporting our efforts in identifying, analyzing, and recommending secondary investment opportunities (both LP and GP-led). Ideal candidates will have 18-24 months of experience working in private equity secondaries, after having graduated from top universities. Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA) is a leading alternative investment group and a wholly owned subsidiary of Pictet with expertise in hedge funds, private equity, real estate and private debt. With teams based globally, PAA constructs, manages and advises portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients. You will be joining a dynamic and growing investment team based in Geneva and will primarily support the global efforts to identify, analyse and recommend investments in secondaries while also opportunistically contributing to efforts involving co-investments. Your role - Assisting in identifying and evaluating potential secondary investments (both LP and GP led) with a broad scope in terms of industry and location. - Conducting research on industries and companies, and supporting the development of financial models to highlight key metrics for investment decisions. - Contributing to the analysis of companies and gathering due diligence data to support investment recommendations, while recognizing industry trends and potential challenges. - Writing presentations and memos analyzing new investment opportunities. - Supporting the monitoring of the performance of portfolio company investments. Your profile - University degree in a relevant field such as finance, engineering, economics, or data science from a top-tier university. - Between 18-24 months of work/internship experience in Private Equity Secondaries and/or in Private Equity Co-Investments. - Proven solid modelling skills, proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with leveraging AI tools. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to deliver short analytical messages. - Proactive and results oriented with a proven ability at managing priorities, solving problems, coming up with innovative solutions and attention to details. - Drive, positive energy and team player. - Excellent command of English required; French and/or other European languages would be highly valued. - Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
