Category Manager in Strategic Supply Organization

The role of the Supply Chain Strategic Manager consists of the development, planning, and implementation of the Supply Chain Strategy for an assigned category.

The Supply Chain Strategic Manager reports to the Global Category Manager Components.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible to reach defined Supply Management targets (mainly quality, logistics, and total cost) for the assigned category.
- Work out purchasing strategy and implementation of the same. Focus on optimizing total costs, product quality, and logistic performance. Environmental aspects such as the Co2 neutral footprint of our products are of growing importance and shall be an integrated part of the strategy.
- Frequent review of supply risks and implement appropriate risk mitigation actions to ensure a resilient supply chain.
- Responsible for supplier evaluation, qualification, development, price, and frame agreement negotiations.
- Define & constant improvement of supply chain with a focus to shorten lead time and optimize logistic processes.
- Represent Supply Management in product development projects and ramp-up until serial release and stable supply.
- Responsible for relocation of parts until first article inspection passed and transfer to buyer organization.
- Initiate and handling of design modification requests with design.

Your background
- Master’s degree as an industrial engineer or similar.
- Additional post-studies and professional experience as Category Manager or Project Manager in an international context would be a strong asset.
- Good negotiation skills.
- A collaborative and solution-focused approach paired with strong communication skills and relentless execution would complete your profile.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Willingness to travel of up to 20%.
