The standard work will enable supply chain planning aligned to long-term BU strategy by proactively focusing on adapting workforce, facilities, and systems (e.g., upskilling, rationalization, capacity development) to inform the “next generation” supply chain network design while considering current performance, growth, and demand forecasting (SIOP), changing markets, risks, and voice of Customers.

They will partner and collaborate with cross-functional GE Vernova leadership (e.g., Sourcing, Commercial, Sales, Product Mgmt., Engineering, etc.) on Voice of Customer, which includes market opportunities, key technologies, and capabilities as differentiators, and translating GEV business objectives into a supply chain optimization roadmap.

Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy “Next Generation” Supply Chain (NGSC) toolkit across business supply chain teams, partnering closely with Global Supply Chain Development Team and Business SLT. The toolkit should include, but is not limited to:

- Footprint Layout and Capabilities Matrix for manufacturing sites (e.g., “baseball cards)
- Voice of Customer exercises and heat maps
- Make vs. buy analyses framework.
- Strategic site assessments and properties plan - including identification, growth potential, and capital allocation needs and financial benefits to GEV.
- Supply chain project identification and pipeline framework aligned to help make businesses more responsive and competitive.
- Partner with Projects and Initiatives leader and Business Global Supply Chain leaders to facilitate NGSC strategy execution across Vernova.
- Project manage, as needed, to support business-level strategic projects and NGSC development.
- Develop broad technical and market expertise globally across GEV businesses.
- Support Global Supply Chain Development leader in creation of a Global Supply Chain Strategy Council across the 12 businesses including manufacturing, souring, and materials leaders to address key risks and opportunities impacting all businesses. Topics could include, but are not limited to:

- Regulation impacting supply chain reporting and disclosures (e.g., EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting and Disclosure, CSRD, Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, CBAM, German supply chain due diligence act, etc.)
- Product Stewardship and circular supply chain strategies aligned to GE Vernova sustainability Framework.
- Geo-political risks.
- Regional localization incentives (e.g., US Inflation Reduction Act).
- Lead scenario planning exercises and kaizens to drive cross-functional, data-driven, structured problem solving to address supply chain risks, resilience, and optimization of Safety, Quality, Deliver, and Cost (SQDC).

Basic Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- Significant relevant experience in project management, operations, supply, chain, sourcing, or business development.
- Track record of driving cross-functional, team-oriented, data-driven, structured problem-solving.
- Impactful communicator with experience working and leading cross-culturally in large, matrixed organizations - understands how to navigate geographies, cultures, relationships, etc.
- Ability to travel 30-50% of the time.
- Strong quantitative and data analyses skills
- Ability to analyze and simplify complex, technical problems and articulate complicated trade-offs to key stakeholders and decision makers.
- Active listener who seeks multiple perspectives to make informed decisions.
- Responsible, mindful, and diligent. Operates without comprising integrity, even under urgent or high-pressure circumstances.
- Someone known for being approachable, collaborative, and non-political by stakeholders and peers. Comfortable with conflict and debate normally associated with change.

Desired Characteristics
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or master’s Supply Chain Management.
- Cross-functional experience
- Prior leadership program experience, such as OMLP, FMP, CAS
- Lean and kaizen facilitation experience
- Demonstrated understanding or risks and opportunities associated with long term projects such as: Restructuring, Transfer of Work, Capability Development, Localization, Insourcing/Outsourcing.
- Change Management expertise.
- Strong customer-orientation and focus.
