About the role

The Credit Controller, Amazon is responsible for all the credit & cash collection activities in relation with this specific customer. This position ensures promotional activities are properly identified, monitored and follows set budget / forecasts.

What you’ll do in the role

Reporting & Analysis- Build a strong knowledge of contractual obligations between Helen of Troy and Amazon. This should cover ordering & price setting, EDI, shipping terms and related documents, VAT set-up, allowances, discounts and any promotional activities.- Own and manage a trade tracker for promotional invoices, providing insights and advising on potential overspend related to Amazon promotional activities. Ensure Budget and forecasts for promotional activities are clearly established and understood by Credit, Accounting, FP&A and Sales Teams.- Maintain a trade tracker for all issued invoices, ensuring comprehensive recording by all stakeholders and reporting and analyse any discrepancy.- Reconcile accruals against actual invoices received from Amazon, promptly addressing discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy. Proactively call out call or meeting with Sales Team and FP&A to quickly address issues.- Prepare all mandatory documents and reports for Internal and external audits.- Prepare necessary data for Budget / Forecast cycles. Ensure timing is clear and agreed upon with FP&A.

Month End Activities:
- In collaboration with the Sales teams, gather and prepare data for the creation of accruals based on contractual agreements with Amazon, ensuring accuracy and completeness.- Submit any recommendation linked to Accruals level.- Maintain a tracker for consumption (all invoices issued by Amazon) and reconcile it to the master accrual file to identify any discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting)- Record and create credit and debit notes for chargers and paybacks issued by Amazon.- Give support on AR Month-End closing related duties and provide all necessary data to GL and/or Credit Manager (i.e AR Aging )

Dispute Resolution:
- Take charge of disputing and rectifying incorrect invoices, fostering effective communication with vendors and internal teams (Sales, Marketing).- Record and book penalties and shortages accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies.- Define monthly collection target together with manager.-
- Act as a back-up for other members of the team and other markets/ clients- Ad hoc project as required & Identify opportunities and bring innovative ideas for process improvement

What will help you do the job well

Essential:
- Min 5 years’ experience in credit control in an international FMCG or equivalent. Experience with credit activities with online shops- Business and commercial acumen.- Proficiency in MS Excel, especially with regards to functions in relation with managing large amount of data.- Fluent in English (spoken and written), French or German is a plus.- Excitement about joining a midsize yet growing company with fast-growing brands

Nice to have:
- Any ERP experience, Oracle knowledge is a plus.
