We aim to achieve this mission by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.
UNEP’s Economy Division supports partners across governments, private sector and civil society to develop and implement policies, strategies and practices for sustainable development. Located within the Economy Division, the Resources and Markets Branch enhances the capacity of partners to integrate environmental considerations into economic policies and practices. A particular focus of Resources and Markets Branch is UNEP’s work related to Green Economy.
The Economy Division/ PAGE internship is for three
- six (3-6) months.
The Internship is UNPAID and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
Have demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations and have a personal commitment to the ideals of the Charter;
Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views.
**Responsibilities**:
The intern will work with Secretariat of the Partnership for Action on Green Economy housed in the Resources Markets Branch, UNEP. More specifically, the intern will support the following tasks:
- Support development and maintenance of the PAGE website. Knowledge of Drupal and WordPress is a plus.
- Support production of print, web and/or multimedia communication materials, including infographics, videos flyers, publications, newsletters. Knowledge of Canva, InDesign and/or other Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software is a plus.
- Support PAGE social media presence, including development and scheduling of regular posts. Knowledge of all relevant social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, etc is a plus.
- Support drafting and editing of PAGE documents, publications, reports, newsletters, regular updates, and other communication materials.
- Support preparation and implementation of PAGE global and regional events
- Support organization of meetings, webinars and workshops, including by developing and coordinating meeting documents, logistics and/or other resources
- Support other activities as requested.

Education
a. Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) in Journalism, Communication, Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Public Administration, Sustainable Development, Environmental Science or a related area:
b. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);
c. Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
