**Marketing Compliance Manager - branding, quality, legal, regulatory**
**Role**:
For our client in the Pharma industry based in Rotkreuz we are looking for a Marketing Compliance Manager.
This role will be part of the Marketing Compliance sub-team which sits in the overarching global
Integrated Marketing team. The Marketing Compliance sub-team is responsible for managing the
promotional content approval process for Roche Diagnostic Solutions‘ global business area. This process
covers all global promotional content generated by marketing and commercial functions based in
Switzerland and the United States. Part of the Integrated Marketing team’s other responsibilities are
above-product level marketing projects and branding.
**Areas of responsibility**:
- Work closely with the Marketing Compliance team; serve as marketing consultant on major campaigns
and projects to help streamline review of promotional materials
- Ensure compliance with the correct use of trademarks and competition law, particularly the use of true
and accurate and non-misleading statements and references, on all promotional material aimed at an
external audience with intent to promote the sale and/or use of Roche products
- Build and enhance in-depth company and product knowledge to educate business (LifeCycle teams),
affiliate and regional communicators on Good Promotional Practices for content development
- Partner cross-functionally to provide expert branding, medical, legal and regulatory guidance and
support to Marketing Services and LifeCycle teams and affiliates in PR/communications tactics
- Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the general operation of
the promotional review process and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct
- Identifies and escalates potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/ implements plans
for resolution of problematic issues and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar
situations in the future
- Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the DXM Marketing Services
team and organizational leads informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
- Monitors the performance of the promotional review process and relates activities on a continuing
basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness
- Works with the Marketing Compliance team and others as appropriate to develop an effective
compliance training program, including appropriate introductory training for new employees, as well as
ongoing training for all employees and managers
- Day-to-day business administrator of legal and regulatory promotional content review process;
maintaining user profiles, coordinating file dissemination through approved channels, performing audits,
assessing reporting metrics and coordinating general business questions with third-party vendors
**Professional and technical requirements**:
- Apprenticeship or University Degree (Bachelor/Master), preferred in law, legal affairs, regulatory
- A minimum of 2-5 years experience in compliance, preferred in a healthcare environment
- Experience in working with marketing, branding, quality, legal, regulatory
- Ability to work in fast-paced, entrepreneurial and highly matrixed environments
- General understanding of privacy and/or healthcare compliance legislation
- Knowledge of general cloud-based compliance programs (e.g. Veeva) and online project management tools
- Project management and execution skills with high attention to detail
- Experience in driving risk-based decisions supporting business owner expectations and needs
- Strong writing and oral communication skills in English (preferably as mother tongue)
- Ability to learn and follow processes and procedures necessary to develop, route and release
communications within a highly regulated industry
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to build high-quality relationships with clientele
- Learning agility and flexibility to adapt to changing environment
**Nice to Haves**:
- Experience in diagnostics, computer information, or a related field in marketing compliance
- Familiarity with operational and quality assurance procedures and regulations in a healthcarem organization
