**Your role**

- Your working day starts with a 15-minute stand-up in your team, in which you coordinate with and update your team. Afterwards, you work on tasks (stories) that you have picked yourself during a regular planning meeting in the team. These stories cover a broad spectrum:
- You assess upcoming or existing operational risks with regards to services, products and processes and report verbally or in writing.
- Together with the team, you develop and implement risk mitigation measures like process improvements, trainings, controls, remediation instructions for which you take responsibility.
- You will support projects of Risk
- and Business Units, which have an impact on the risk profile of the bank.
- You will contribute to the operational success of the team by participating in control execution, performing assessments, and reporting to stakeholders.
- All the while you are in close contact with colleagues in your own department as well as other functions and business units and consider the relevant regulations (e.g. FIDLEG and MIFID), internal guidance and policies, was well as risk indicators and reports of other business units.
You can look forward to an exciting working day, which will provide you both with self-organized tasks as well as close cooperation with your teammates, constantly learning from each other. The focus will be on carrying out and further improving our controls, as well as supporting the frontline staff when they struggle with investor protection related questions.
**Your team**
- We are an agile team and part of Business Risk Management at UBS Switzerland. Our team is responsible for investor protection within the advisory process. This spans the entire life cycle from conceptual design, implementation, and rollout communication to operational execution, continuous improvement, and regular reporting of control results. We bring our insights forward to train frontline staff and suggest process improvements.

**Your expertise**
- experience in the financial sector - preferably in Investment Advisory and Investor Protection - or risk management is mandatory. Experience in the agile methods (Scrum), project or process management is an advantage
- curiosity and loving the challenge to quickly get up to speed with new and complex topics
- you think, act and communicate in a concise and analytical manner, always seeking out data and facts to support your point
- you pay attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture
- you are fluent in written and spoken English and French and have solid German knowledge
