Purpose
The Director Global Outbound is the incubator and lead of global outbound initiatives.
In this role, He/She will be leading the digitalization journey of our global outbound activities while supporting market operations ensuring sustainability within their local and/or regional diversity.
She/He will be responsible to drive continuous improvement with a keen focus on delivery performances and quality always keeping customer at the heart of its day-to-day activities.- Key Accountabilities
Strategy Definition
- Support definition of annual global outbound roadmap in sync with global and markets SCM Strategy; align with markets to define annual targets.

- Project & Performance Management
- Work with global and market finance on Project Costing and associated savings.
- Proactively identify outbound transportation cost savings opportunities; raise to
- and work with cross-functional partners to implement.
- Incubate new outbound opportunities and project through latest market and consumer trends as well as partnering with other functions (SCM/SCD, Digital, Tech ).
- Develop and maintain standardized performance metrics and tools through digitalization journey of our tools.
- Drive transparency on outbound performance globally; drive exception management incl. root-cause analysis.
- Process & System Ownership
- Proactively define global outbound management processes across channels (eCom, Retail, Wholesale); define global frameworks incl. performance management, carrier management, global capacity planning, etc.
- Provide executional support with his/her team to markets in case of burning issues.
- Define system requirements needs (as per market and business needs) - coordinate with IT System owner for implementation.
- Define system deployment roadmap - in collaboration with Distribution IT owner, markets and Omni; ensure on-time in-full implementation.
- People Management
- Build the appropriate structure to be able to manage the respective organization effectively, identify and develop the future talents and create realistic succession scenarios for key positions.
- Ensure appropriate leadership skills are present at every level by creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained and provided with career opportunities through development.

- Knowledge, Capabilities and Skills
- Understanding of the bigger picture and end-to-end supply chain with the focus on transportation (DC to customer, consumer).
- Recent experience and current knowledge of Transportation systems capabilities, and technology platforms (real-time visibility, TMS, carrier integration platforms).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with different international cultures.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills, both verbal and written.
- Team player, high degree of self-management, enthusiasm, drives to perform.
- Navigate and negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups, can settle differences; can win concessions without damaging relationships.
- Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required.
- Fluent English (verbal and written).
- Strong MS-Office skills.
- Qualifications
- Four-year college or university degree with focus on Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 5+ year experience in leadership and managing remote teams
- Proven track record in driving change
- Experience with managing a global transportation management system (TMS) project
- Vast experience in multi-national supply chain/logistics/transportation work experience in fast moving consumer goods industry (preferably apparel, fashion background)
