Head of Animal Facility
**Job description**:
As an addition to our skilled preclinical team, we are looking for a highly experienced and motivated veterinarian scientist with experience in animal experiments, particularly oncology / immuno-oncology models. In this role, you will be responsible for Molecular Partners’ animal facility and will have the lead on all animal experiment licenses. As study director, you will also be part of in vivo preclinical studies required in project development. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will be expected to interact with project teams and several collaborators.
This challenging and diverse position will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Animal Facility manager including veterinary services;
- Lead animal facility team;
- Lead animal experiment licenses;
- Lead in vivo preclinical studies;
- Lead all communications/interactions with Swiss veterinary office;
- Interact and align with preclinical platform team;
- Ensure highest quality of our animal facility;
- Design and implement in vivo studies for research projects;
- Provide expertise on murine models.
This position summary is not intended to be all inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
**Requirements**:
For this position, we are looking for an enthusiastic and highly skilled individual who features the following credentials:
- ** Veterinary diploma is mandatory and PhD**:
- LTK2 Recognition (study director);
- Experience in animal experimentation;
- 8+ years of experience in a biopharmaceutical environment;
- Background in tumor biology or cancer immunology is mandatory;
- Background in Radioligand Therapy is a plus;
- Open communication and team-orientated;
- Proactive and independent working style;
- Experience working in an agile environment;
- Reliable and well-organized;
- Familiar with MS-Office programs and SharePoint;
- Flexible with ability to quickly become acquainted with new tasks;
- ** Solid knowledge of English AND German is mandatory.**
