Responsible for assuring compliance of Quality/Food Safety in operating unit. Acting as the primary business quality project manager for Corporate Quality Assurance requirements and regulations are in compliance and measured and controlled.

Reporting into the General Manager. In a secondary line of responsibility, the QA Manager has a dotted reporting line into the Senior Manager Compliance BU.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Executes monthly self-assessments on the elements of food safety.
- Executes the required food safety related testing as defined in HACCP plan and maintains the revisions of the HACCP plan.
- Leads all QA and food/product safety related activities/initiatives.
- Implements quality systems and measures its effectiveness by verifying activities, controls, and preventative measures.
- Responsible for maintaining and managing the corrective action system and facilitating corrective action activities with management.
- Assures the accuracy and compliance of HACCP records as defined in the corporate procedures.
- Drives implementation of the business management system
- Responsible to lead product defect investigations, Alleged food poisoning, foreign object investigations and writing investigation report.
- Responsible for the identifying and maintaining of key performance metrics for the Quality organization
- Continuously improves unit procedures for monitoring and ensuring conformance to specifications for incoming raw materials as well as for finished products and is responsible for the local supplier approval.
- Responsible for the conduct of audit with customers and local authorities

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in food science, quality, technical or business-related field
- Minimum of 5 years quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference in food manufacturing
- HACCP certification
- Auditing experience
- Knowledge ISO 22000 (an asset)
- Proven teamwork experience in a fast-paced environment
- Proven experience in development and implementation of quality standards and managing food quality processes
- MS Office package including presentations
- Business driven, analytical, pro-active, solutions & result oriented with a very visible ”can do” attitude
- Professional ambitious with high ability to influence groups during a natural authority
- Able to create result in a difficult and complex environment
- Team player with entrepreneurial spirit
- High energy, robust with a clear
- Native level in writing and speaking French
- Prominent level of English both oral and in writing
- Excellent in written and oral communication
- Comfortable deliver messages and training to a wider audience
