The Director, Finance - International oversees Tandem’s Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function, ensures accurate and timely accounting reporting, manages banking relationships, and provides strategic tax assistance for our international operations.

As a leader within the Finance function, this role partners collaboratively to create, maintain, and improve international processes and ensure international compliance across multiple finance subfunctions. Additionally, this role provides matrixed support to senior Finance leaders and international operations leaders.
- **Financial Planning & Analysis**:

- Leads the development and implementation of the annual budget and financial planning process for all international subsidiaries.
- Oversees the creation of accurate financial forecasts and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Conducts scenario planning and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential financial challenges.
- Partners with business unit leaders to translate strategic objectives into financial models and metrics.

**Accounting Reporting**:

- Ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all international financial reporting, adhering to local and international accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Oversees the consolidation process for international subsidiaries, assists corporate finance with the conversion of financial statement from local GAAP to US GAAP.
- Manages the relationship with external auditors and facilitate the annual audit process.
- Implements and maintains strong internal controls over financial reporting.

**Banking & Treasury Management**:

- Develops and manages relationships with international banks.
- Oversees cash flow management for all international subsidiaries and optimize working capital.
- Implements strategies to mitigate foreign exchange risk.

**Tax Assistance**:

- Collaborates with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with international tax regulations for all subsidiaries.
- Identifies and implements tax-saving opportunities within the confines of legal and ethical guidelines.
- Assists the Administration team and shares accountability for tasks including VAT, Stamp Duty, and annual tax returns.
- Stays current with evolving international tax laws and regulations.

**Leadership & Management**:

- Provides strategic leadership and direction to the international finance team.
- Supports the Corporate Finance department in a range of strategic planning initiatives, including projects related to global tax structure planning, global treasury strategic planning, and the implementation of global equity plans.
- Recruits, develops, and mentors a high-performing finance team across various locations.
- Fosters a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
- Effectively communicate complex financial information to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

**YOU’RE AWESOME AT**:

- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), required; strong understanding of US GAAP, preferred.
- Experience working in a multinational environment with diverse teams and cultures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and flexibility to function in a dynamic and innovative environment.
- Fluency in English and a second language, such as Spanish, French, or German, preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP, accounting, and financial reporting systems.
- Able to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship.
- Skilled at creating a team environment that supports a common vision.

**YOU'LL NEED**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
- CPA or CMA, preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior international finance leadership role.
- Proven experience in financial planning & analysis, accounting reporting, banking and treasury management, and international tax matters.
