What you do here
The Sustainability Manager GTR&DIS leads the development and implementation of a comprehensive sustainability (incl. Non-Financial Reporting) strategy for Lindt's Travel Retail and International Distributor markets. Plays a key role in aligning divisional sustainability efforts with the overall Lindt Group Strategy, working closely with the local cross-functional sustainability team and the Group Sustainability Department driving impactful initiatives, guiding and overseeing local execution and ensuring we achieve our ambitious sustainability goals.
DRIVING and INTEGRATING an agile sustainable agenda
Chair and coordinate a cross-functional sustainability group of GTR-DIS leaders to review holistic performance, track and align project plans, develop quarterly scorecards for the local management team and identify opportunities for improvement
Be a driver of change implementing a GTR-DIS divisional Sustainability Roadmap aligned with the Group Sustainability Plan, outlining measurable goals, initiatives, and timelines for achieving sustainability objectives.
Translating and implementing a robust sustainability reporting procedures for the division together with Controlling
Lead and manage the education and execution of key focus areas, specifically Packaging and Human Rights across the divisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams:
Packaging and Point of Sale Fixtures
Work with marketing and copackers to develop a sustainable packaging and point of sales fixtures roadmap for the next 3 years, to ensure achievement of Lindt global packaging and decarbonization targets.
Review all new proposed NPDs during Go to Market process (or local equivalent) to help consider more environmentally friendly choices. Challenge teams to consider less packaging, more recyclable packaging, and better pallet utilization.
Analyze non-financial reporting metrics for packaging and KPIs
Monitor local packaging regulatory developments. Determine and communicate impact to business, setting up teams and projects as necessary to manage, mitigate and report as necessary.

Ensure implementation of suitable metrics and KPIs
Coordinate the recurring data collection for the Group submission
Track and report on sustainability performance against divisional sustainability goals
Analyze non-financial reporting metrics and key performance indicators together with topic leads to drive local strategy and continuous improvement
NETWORKING & STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration and promote sustainable practices.
Represent the division in Group-wide sustainability discussions
Chair and coordinate the DIS/GTR cross-functional sustainability group
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the GTR and DIS markets, facilitating change management
Participate in Group-wide initiatives and updates (e.g., Science based targets for climate, Non-Financial Reporting Guidelines) and exchange best practices
TREND AND REGULATION MONITORING
Stay up-to-date on the latest sustainability trends and best practices within the TR and FMCG industries.
Stay informed about human rights and environmental regulations and participate in industry associations and forums.
Monitor regulatory developments, emerging trends, global developments and competitors to inform strategies and activities, together with accountable business functions
Support the headquarter in conducting periodic dual materiality assessments and execute local risk assessments (e.g. human rights risks) to analyze social and environmental impacts, risks and opportunities of Lindt & Sprüngli
When you fit in with us
**Education and professional background**:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, engineering, or business.
Master's Degree (preferred) in fields like sustainable management, environmental policy or sustainability leadership.
3- 5 years of experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies, preferably within the FMCG or retail industry
Proven track record of success in driving measurable sustainability improvements
Strong commitment to and passion for advancing social and environmental impacts in global value chains
Human Rights due diligence experience
Strong commitment to and passion for advancing social and environmental impacts in global value chains
Familiarity with sustainability risks, impacts, trends, and best-practices
Fluency in English and another major business language (French or German preferred)

Strong understanding of sustainability principles and frameworks.
**Critical thinking and analytical skills**: ability to identify trends in data and reports and to 'see the big picture'
Strong project management expertise.
Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
