**USP Technician**

**Your role**:
Within the MSAT (Manufacturing Science And Technology) Laboratory team, you are in charge of following upstream laboratory projects and participating in experimental activities in order to support process improvements, investigations or validations for the production of our marketed products.

**Job Requirements**:

- Perform laboratory activities to ensure process troubleshooting and improvement.
- Support development projects by writing experiments protocols and reports, executing laboratories activities while coordinating analysis.
- Participate to scale down model development and qualification projects to ensure an efficient support to the manufacturing scale.
- Work in a GLP environment using adequate documentation to ensure activities traceability and respect quality standards of Merck.
- Participate to the 5S of the laboratory to maintain workplace and equipment.
- Work in close collaboration with the different groups within the MSAT organization (Process Expertise; Process Validation & Controls and Site Project Managers, Global MSAT) as well as other partners (Production units and BioProcess Sciences). You may also collaborate with other Merck entities.

**Who you are**:

- University degree in Life science (License, Bachelor) with minimum 5 years of experience or
- certificate of capacity (or equivalent) with demonstrated track record in bioprocessing.
- Good knowledge of cell culture processes and technologies, particularly in bioreactors
- Awareness of pharmaceutical industry (GMP) requirements
- Rigorous and organized, with a good ability to work in a team
- Fluency in oral and written French.
- Fluency in oral and written English is a plus
