**Job Description**:
We are seeking an Associate Director, Finance International to support the growth and expansion of Deciphera in Europe and beyond.
This position will report to the** **Head of Finance, International** **and be located in the Zug office. While there is a strong preference for Zug, other locations within Europe will be considered.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Lead International Finance operations**:
- Ensure timely and accurate financial statements for European entities in accordance with US and local GAAPs
- Own and manage all Finance operations including USGAAP and local statutory accounting, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash and payroll for our European subsidiaries
- Work closely with external 3PL, outside accounting service provider and US Finance team on Order-to-Cash, revenue recognition and inventory accounting.
- Manage and provide oversight of external accounting provider in the area Accounts Payable, Bank reconciliation, payroll and tax.
- Review payroll prepared by HR and external accounting service provider
- Review statutory Accounts for our European subsidiaries prepared by external accounting service provider
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Manage external audit firm to ensure efficient annual audit process
- Management of day-to-day activities of our outside accounting and tax service provider
**International FP&A**
- Collaborate with business partners to build annual budget and quarterly reforecasts
- Lead analysis of financial results versus plan and forecasts, investigations of significant variances, and communication of findings to business partners
- Manage monthly accrual process
**International launch**
- Provide Finance support in relation to our product launch in Europe
- Ensure appropriate Finance systems and processes are in place to support our International operations
**Build the International Finance function**
- Support the design and build of the European Finance function and take on additional responsibilities during build up phase
- Ad hoc projects
**Financial policies, procedures and processes and internal controls**:
- Ensure compliance with laws and policies will also supporting organizational growth
- Partner cross-functionally and cross-regionally in the development and oversight of financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and scalability for a rapidly growing organization
- Evaluate and evolve financial operations policies and procedures in collaboration with US Finance team
- Ensure an efficient and effective system of internal controls to maintain compliance with SOX, FCPA, local laws and regulations, internal policies and procedures and industry code of conducts
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in multinational company
- Life science industry experience a must, biotech or pharmaceuticals industry experience preferred
- Experience in a growth stage company in an International environment working with outside and remote internal and external resources with tight deadlines
- Experience with transfer pricing and international supply chain
- Hands-on and roll-up the sleeves mentality with willingness to take on broad set of responsibilities while the organization is being built up
- Independently motivated, detail-oriented and strong problem-solving ability
- Excellent organizational skills, sufficient to multi-task in an extremely fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Advanced financial systems knowledge - Oracle Fusion and Blackline is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles
- Experience liaising with external statutory auditors and statutory financial statement preparation
- Fluent English. Other main European languages preferred
