**My duties**
- Monitor performance of database systems resources and query throughput (storage resources, backups, index rebuild/defragment, and database statistics)
- Optimise SQL Code, SQL Server Installation, Upgrades, Migrations and Configuration
- Maintain database documentation as required
- Maintain and administer database security access
- Perform database Ad-hoc backups and restores
- Trouble shoot and resolve database connectivity issues
- Configure and monitor AG Always ON
- Develop and maintain SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports
- Monitor SQL Server Agent Jobs
- Help develop and maintain datasets for reports and dashboards
- Provide strategic guidance regarding future developments and improvements to existing systems
- Coordinate work allocation within the team and act as a mentor to more Junior DBA

**My qualifications**
- Solid knowledge and experience in SQL and T-SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and triggers
- Additional knowledge of MySQL and/or Postgres SQL a plus.
- Solid knowledge in SSIS, SSRS
- Solid knowledge and in database management such as creating databases, users, tables, indexes, partitions, etc.
- Knowledge of.net c# an asset
- Experience with Azure cloud or other cloud technologies is advantageous
- Previous experience working in the banking, finance or accounting industry is advantageous
- Flexible - Deal with challenging and changeable requirements
- Good knowledge of English and preferably a good working knowledge of French
