**About the Role**

This role supports the Global Financial Planning and Steering team in all processes and results related to the execution of financial planning. You will have the opportunity to learn a lot about (re)insurance business, and how individual products, assets and funding contribute to the overall value in the company. You will acquire in-depth technical expertise and be presented with the occasion to demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit by ‘thinking out of the box’ to gain insights into core financial performance and strategy decisions.

**Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to**:

- Support the Corporate Solutions planning process - i.e. you run timelines and responsibilities in coordination with Group timelines
- Manage processes regarding the planning tool, i.e. you collaborate with IT project teams, support business users, and review and consolidate plan components
- Engage in the establishment of the comprehensive Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) reporting framework, develop and enable consistent business performance management
- Support the improvement of the Key Performance Indicator reporting dashboards and be responsible for the production process by closely collaborating with our partners worldwide
- Provide customized / ad-hoc performance and analysis

**About the Team**:
The Global FP&A team supports managing and steering Swiss Re's commercial lines primary insurer, the business unit Corporate Solutions and its regional and product management teams. We are further developing and strengthening planning and steering capabilities to build a robust business plan supporting business growth and act as a challenger to our decision makers. Your dynamic manner supports the Head of Global Financial Planning & Steering to further improve and successfully conduct on financial planning. With growing responsibility, you will be able to collaborate and partner intensively across Group Planning, Treasury, Risk Management, Asset Management and the Finance Corporate Solutions community, in order to more closely integrate and align the processes related to planning & steering.

**About You**:

- You are either close to completion or have recently completed your Bachelor / Master university degree in Finance or Economics
- Prior professional experience in financial planning & analysis or management reporting is a plus
- Strong analytical mind and technical savvy with the professional interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written English
- You are able to perform tasks with a high degree of autonomy, but working closely with relevant customers
- You are willing to work a flexible schedule as a team

The internship is based in Zurich, Switzerland, and will last 6 months, starting date is June 2023 (till end of November 2023).
