**Job Description**:
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Reconciliation of trading book versus accounting ledgers, analyse discrepancies thereon
- Ensure derivatives PnL is recorded and supported in accordance with Vitol's policies and controls
- Perform monthly and year-end accounting closing tasks relating to physical contracts
- Provide meaningful analysis to the various stakeholders to improve decision making
- Ensure tasks are done with an impeccable level of accuracy and in a timely manner
- Ensure proper resolution of findings identified on day-to-day tasks
- Front Office’s point of contact in accounting to resolve queries and ad-hoc analysis
- Support continuous improvements regarding tools, processes and controls
- Support external audits of our yearly financial statements and partnership activities
- Comply with internal policies on confidentiality and security of accounting data
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, audit or related field
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant financial accounting and / or controlling experience within an international environment is compulsory
- Excellent accounting knowledge is required, certified accountant
- Responsive and able to communicate effectively in both English and French
- Knowledge of ERP systems and high literacy in Excel
- Excellent partnering skills paired with a can-do attitude
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrate ability to identify and address issues properly under mínimal supervision
- Committed and resilient - deals effectively with pressure and tight deadlines
- Eager to learn and self-motivated
- Eligible to work in Switwerland
