Job Description
- Processing of international customer projects and scientific customer requests focusing on the analysis of biomolecules (e.g. proteins, oligonucleotides) and formulation buffer components by capillary electrophoresis (CE) in a GMP regulated environment
- Planning and execution of feasibilities, method developments, method validations and transfers
- Documentation of work / analyses (paper based, LIMS)
- Raw data review and technical assessment of method developments, validations and transfers
- Writing of test methods / SOPs, method development and characterization reports as well as validation and transfer documents
- Review of technical documents (SOPs, reports)
- Troubleshooting (method specific and instrument specific)
- Collaboration in customer project and coordination of respective tasks as part of core teams
- Technical supervision and support of lab technicians
- Team support with respect to routine laboratory and instrument maintenance
- Support of internal projects for process improvement
- Processing of deviations, OOS and other investigations (direct communication with customers, QA, project leaders, etc.)

Requirements
- Professional training in Chemistry / Biochemistry (Master with at least 3 years work experience or PhD) - Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Profound knowledge of analytical chemistry as well as basic knowledge of protein biochemistry
- Profound laboratory experience with respect to sample preparation and analysis of biomolecules (e.g. antibodies)
- Hands-on experience with instrumental, chromatographic / electrophoretic test methods and analytical techniques
- Experience in performing feasibility studies, method developments and validations/transfer is a plus
- Ideally experience in CZE, CGE and cIEF, preferentially hands-on experience with SCIEX PA800+ and ProteinSimple iCE3/Maurice instruments is a plus
- Experience in GMP documentation
- Experience in writing of analytical reports and SOPs
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Distinct customer focus and service capabilities as well as distinct sense of responsibility
- Team focused personality with good communication skills
- Fluent in English and German
