**Key **responsibilities**:

- Lead the development and implementation of primary packaging and combination products across the Lonza DP network including the management of external partners
- Responsible for the operational delivery of pre-clinical parenteral DP manufacturing for therapeutic modalities including biologics, small molecules, peptide, oligonucleotides, (bio)conjugates and cell & gene products
- Head the project support team including implementation & operation of lab automation equipment
- Empower efficient cross-functional collaboration with Pharmaceutical Services stakeholders, including the global GMP DP manufacturing network
- Enable innovation and technical strategy for projects, generating IP and contributing to scientific publications and conference talks
- Evaluate and implement new methods and technologies, as required
- Ensure effective use of resources (time, personnel, equipment, material, rooms), following health and safety standards

**Key requirements**:

- PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field. Or a relevant Engineering degree
- Previous experience establishing methods and procedures to achieve specific goals and objectives
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry working with Biologics and therapeutic modalities
- Experience leading and coaching teams with different focus areas at the same time
- Willingness to learn and carry out new and complex tasks
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
