**Director, Global Sales & Distributor Services / Marketing Operations Procurement**

**Position overview**

This role is a leader within the Global Sales & Distributors Services and Marketing Operations (SDS-MOPS) of Procurement for the MedTech business which represents around $350MM in spend supporting approximately $26B in global revenue.

Possible work locations: EMEA, Zug (Switzerland), Beerse / Diegem (Belgium), Prague (Czech Republic), Wokingham (United Kingdom)

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Determine the MedTech business needs in the category and sub-categories, and devise Procurement strategies for MedTech commercial business to advance those priorities
- Identify industry trends that Procurement must build into its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the MedTech business
- Responsible for category strategy development and implementation, supplier segmentation, key supplier management, supplier diversity, sustainability, spend velocity, efficient buying channels for the category in scope.
- Responsible for knowledge sharing and creating SME community amongst the different Regional Category Leads supporting SDS-MOPS
- Conduct negotiations and provide recommendations for MedTech business leader approval on projects supporting the MedTech business
- Coordinate with MedTech Procurement regional leads, and where appropriate directly with senior business leaders, to ensure alignment with regional business strategies
- Act as an EMEA Procurement Regional Category Lead for SDS-MOPS
- Shape performance targets for the MedTech Procurement organization in the role’s areas of responsibility, and ensure target achievement

**Major Duties & Responsibilities**:
60% Own and lead category strategy development and implementation globally and regionally

20% Own and lead key supplier relationships

20% Establish relationships with key business partners with Responsibility for Patients

**Other duties**:

- Ad hoc assignments as determined by corporate priorities

**Qualifications**:
**Preferred Qualifications**

**Preferred Minimum Education**:
Bachelors or Equivalent

**Preferred Area of Study**:
BS/BA in an applicable field of study; advanced degree is preferred, MBA a plus

**Preferred Related Industry Experience**:
Life Sciences, MedTechnology, FMCG

**Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to present to large audiences
- Ability to inspire an organization to achieve stretch goals
- High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community, based on broad experience
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and executing significant change programs
- Multi-country and Multi-industry experience with experience across geographies of varied sizes and businesses
- Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization is able to effectively and efficiently move through transitions
