About the team you are joining
What your day would be like
Shape the data analytics technical strategy to make IATA a data-first organization capable of fully leveraging its data assets from a commercial and core-activity perspective.
Lead and manage the data access security model and its implementation across AWS and Snowflake.
Develop and implement data operations and engineering strategies that ensure the organization's data infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure
Lead and mentor a team of 3 data operations and engineering professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with requirements and best practices
Manage 3rd party/vendors who are outsourced to provide data operations activities
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure data infrastructure and operations are aligned with business needs
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines to ensure efficient and effective data management
Monitor and report on data operations and engineering metrics to senior management and other stakeholders
Coach, train and up-skill team members, business users and external partners on data engineering topics.

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
10+ years of experience in data operations, data engineering, or a related field
Strong understanding of database technologies, data modeling, and data operations best practices
Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS
Travel Required: N
