**Main Purpose**:
**Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities**:

- Experience of working in a commercial oil trading environment.
- Development of forecasting models.
- Machine Learning & Deep Learning methods.
- Multivariate statistics.
- Strong Python and SQL coding skills with good understanding of software engineering best practices.
- Quantitive finance (futures and options pricing).
- Data engineering skills such as ETL pipeline development.
- AWS experience and certifications.
- Data visualisation with tools such as Tableau.

**Key Responsibilities**

Development and maintenance of machine learning and other advanced analytics for Gas and Power trading desks.**Key Relationships and Department Overview**:
The role reports to Lead Data Scientist for Energy Trading (based in Geneva) with day to day direction from Gas and Power analysts and traders, and w orks closely with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Platform Engineers.
- The Data Science and Engineering team researches, develops and provides sophisticated analytics and data services to the trading business and other commercial operations at Trafigura. It is a commercially driven, front office aligned team, that works in close partnership with the trading desks, global research and enterprise technology.- Job ID R-010861
