The Energy Trading desk centralizes and optimizes Bunge’s Energy exposure in Europe & Asia. This exciting new role will see you handling real exposure and PnL from Day 1 with a direct contribution and impact on the revenues of the company. Under the supervision of the Senior Trader, you will be responsible for implementing and driving trading strategies on energy markets around the company’s assets (Natural Gas, Electricity, CO2, Certificates) and assisting in managing a prop book (cross commodities). This position suits a bold Junior Trader with experience / exposure to the energy and carbon market, who wants to expand the remit to cross commodities or an Analyst with up to with the ambition to move into an energy Trading role.

**What will you do?**
- Manage a trading exposure and build a price risk hedging strategy while operating within established VAR and Drawdown limits to generate P&L
- Trade short-term and forward OTC and cleared contracts to increase returns for generation assets (CHPs) and hedging consumption for industrial production
- Analyze markets’ fundamentals, building and maintaining existing SnD models (EU Gas, LNG, Power, EUA, Crude Oil)
- Building position management tools, maintaining a book with limited supervision, and taking ownership of actions and P&L
- Coordinate with the Procurement team to ensure the energy supply of the operations
- Model energy cost-return models (either on existing assets or for new projects)

As a** Junior Energy & Carbon Trader** at Bunge you are a self-starter and are eager to contribute to the profitable growth of the desk. In this type of environment, you thrive when comfortable with uncertainty and project management of set up of new processes while partnering with other Trading desks, Middle Office, Risk, Reporting, Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Industrial. Furthermore:

- University degree in Business / Economics or another related field
- 1-3 years of experience in trading Energy (EU Gas, Power or CO2) or good experience as an Energy Analyst
- Experience with handling Assets and building trading strategies around optionality
- Fluent English, other languages an advantage
- Coding skills (VBA / Python / R) a plus
