We are looking for a **Head of Pharmaceutical Production **(allergy stream)** **who is eager to join us in our pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnological production site, based office in** Bulle**, **Switzerland**.

**About the role**

As the **Head of Pharmaceutical Production (allergy stream) **your role is to oversee all aspects of DS & DP pharmaceutical production for the Product Stream Allergy.

You will lead the establishment of a state-of-the-art operations processes to deliver compliant and robust pharmaceutical API and DP (quality, time, process reliability and HSE) for the commercial phase of our allergy products.

You will develop a CAPEX management plan to ensure the sustainability of our manufacturing assets, and manage the Opex Budget related to routine manufacturing.

The position entails directly overseeing 8 employees, while the stream comprises 36 employees.

**What you’ll do**
- Lead the team of allergy production stream (including people development).
- Develop Pharmaceutical manufacturing activities in line with the UCB strategies.
- Overseeing all aspects of DS & DP pharmaceutical production for the Product Stream Allergy, including goal setting, organization, team management, investments, risk reduction, budget control, process optimization, performance management, communication, equipment maintenance, customer satisfaction, and establishing lean operational organization.
- Be accountable for people, resources, and activities management within the allergy stream.

**Strategy**
- Ensure execution according to an optimized production planning for the DS & DP pharmaceutical markets for Allergy stream.
- Develop inter-site exchanges (Belgium, China, Japan) and other functions in the Allergy area (medical, development etc).

**Operations**
- Ensure the production organization to supply the commercial and the patient needs.
- Participate to the elaboration of new projects (new installations, new buildings, etc...) linked to the Allergy & CNS activities f.e.: URS writing, follow-up of ordered works; etc....
- Ensure the continuous improvement of the production and its performance (capacity, cycle times, speed, quantity, losses, yield optimization).

**GMP and quality**
- Guarantee that the production runs are executed in compliance with the GMP rules.
- Develop and put in place a system ensuring the permanent « inspection readiness » and meet the inspection requirements.

**Finance**
- Be responsible for piloting the economic and financial aspects of Chemical and Pharmaceutical plants for Allergy through a concept of responsible leadership. Optimize headcount to meet production plans, proposing, and implementing headcount exchanges for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness across streams, defining budgets and necessary investments for securing, optimizing, and maintaining the plants, as well as ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of budget allocations.

**Security and Environment**: Promote a safety culture throughout the organization.

**I**nterested? For this role we’re looking for the following** **education, experience** **and **skills**
- Master’s degree.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in Senior Management roles within Pharmaceutical, Chemical or Biotech industry.
- Excellent understanding of financial flows, GMP & Regulatory environment.
- Ability to develop the concept of Operational Excellence and to create a continual culture of improvement into a manufacturing site.
- Ability to translate the vision, mission, and strategy of the Corporation and of the site into projects and actions (top-down).
- Ability to identify and to implement opportunity of improvement in line with the vision, mission, and strategy (bottom-up).
- Ability to simplify processes, to reduce variability and to eliminate wastes to produce more value-added activities.
- Ability to define and scope a problem (what it is / is not), to identify root causes, to define alternative solutions, to elect the best solution, to implement it, and to check the effectiveness of that solution once implemented.
