Your passion for accounting and your experience working with GAAP requirements will help our team more quickly and effectively implement the proper controls, processes, and systems required of a sophisticated accounting team. We are still in the early stage of developing our accounting infrastructure, so you will have plenty of opportunities to make an impact on how we build our team.

As an Junior Accountant, you will:

- Collaborate with the Financial Accountant on monthly close activities, such as preparing journal entries, and reconciliations of GL accounts
- Support the annual financial audit process with our external auditors
- Coordinate and provide support documentation to our external providers (3 entities)
- Identify and develop accounting process improvements
- Document accounting processes and procedures by creating flow charts, diagrams, checklists, and/or memos
- Participate in various accounting software initiatives and implementations
- Reconciles bank accounts by gathering and balancing information
- Validate supplier payments and employee expenses
The skills you will demonstrate
- At least 2-3 years of experience within a Finance environment
- Bachelor degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Familiarity with the requirements of a monthly close process
- Ability to deal with confidential information
- Strong Excel skills, Salesforce and GITwineur are a plus
- Written and spoken fluency in both French and English
- Proactive and able to take initiatives
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Independence coupled with a collaborative team spirit
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and dive into the details in order to understand the business
