The Bank for International Settlements, BIS has an opportunity available for a Technology Risk Manager to join our Information Technology Services (ITS) team.

As a Technology Risk Manager, you will work with Bank-wide IT delivery teams, Internal Audit, Compliance, Operational Risk Management, and Corporate Security to build Bank-wide technology risk management practices and an effective second line of defence (2LoD).

**Principle accountabilities**:

- Participate in the 2LoD for technology risk, ensuring effective risk prevention, monitoring, identification, mitigation, and reporting
- Support delivery teams operating the first line of defence (1LoD) on technology risk issues and conformance with the applicable standards and processes
- Identify, monitor, maintain, report on and continuously improve the control set for technology risk, including documentation and KRIs
- Enable the Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) evaluation and reporting process for technology risk
- Collaborate with Internal Audit and Risk Management functions on risk conditions, risk monitoring, and risk enhancement projects
- Develop routine and ad-hoc risk reporting for governance bodies and executive leadership

**Qualifications, skills, and experience**:

- Knowledge of technology risk management and the three lines of defence (3LoD) model
- Experience in 2nd LOD technology risk management activities
- Broad knowledge of enterprise IT architecture and technology
- Experience in interdisciplinary working groups, ideally in an international environment
- Excellent drafting and writing skills in English particularly for policy documentation
- Excellent command of GRC tools, PowerPoint, Excel and project management software
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity with experience curating diverse perspectives
