Celerion Switzerland AG is part of the global Celerion Inc. With our European GLP-certified bioanalytical facility located in Fehraltorf / Zürich, as a contract research organization (CRO) we are supporting the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries during the development of new drugs and products.

Due to the continued expansion of our successful bioanalytical laboratory we are looking for a

**Director **Ligand Binding** 100%**

**Main **responsibilities**
- Define overall direction, strategy, processes and systems for LB to meet laboratory demand and to maintain Celerion’s competitiveness in the CRO industry
- Responsibility for ensuring that the assigned Laboratory meets its planned revenue and operating margin targets and for meeting client expectations-related quality and TAT
- Responsible for talent management in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; development and coaching of employees
- Drive scientific innovation and lead initiatives to ensure Celerion is a leader in the CRO space for LB
- Generate external collaborations to keep Celerion at the front of scientific developments.
- Drives company and department culture of teamwork, integrity, trust, respect
- Hold team accountable to a high standard of critical path execution, business discipline and timely delivery
- Drive paths of resolution for functional resource conflicts and project issues
- Ensure GLP/GCP and regulatory compliance, including associated Computer System Validation, and implementation and review of SOPs in the LB Laboratory
- Provide technical/scientific guidance and leadership to study teams, as well as other areas of the company to ensure project completion in timely manner
- Work as part of the Bioanalytical Senior Leadership team to manage the overall Bioanalytical Services
- Increase Celerion’s presence in Bioanalytical community through active involvement in meetings and societies
- Present at scientific meetings, participate in scientific societies and work with clients and internal Celerion operations to publish scientific work
- Maintain a good understanding of the scientific and regulatory environment for bioanalytical science

JOB REQUIREMENTS

**Our requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or equivalent and significant industry or research experience (15+ yrs.) or Master’s degree in biology or equivalent with 10+ yrs. experience or PhD degree in biology or equivalent with 5+ years’ experience focused on bioanalysis as part of drug development.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a GxP regulated environment working with ligand binding assays for drug discovery and development.
- Key skills required proficiency with computers, excellent oral and written communication skills in English, self-motivated and team oriented.
- They should have significant experience in Ligand Binding techniques to assess methods based on Softmax, MSD and RIA as well as automated set-ups related PK and ADA methods.
