- This is a target base sales role within a specified territory (Switzerland) whereby you will own the relationship between the Microbiology Business Division and assigned local accounts within the Clinical segment within the assigned territory, promoting the Microbiology value proposition to customers in advancing Microbiology and AST testing through innovation.
- You will develop a robust business plan for the territory focused to meet or exceed targets through driving profitable growth. Our planned innovative product introductions will deliver solution-based workflows to the customers and as such you will be responsible for developing an aligned strategy for the territory with vertical teams, functions and divisions in Thermo Fisher Scientific to drive growth and a strong customer experience.
- Effective management price, preparation and delivering tender responses, understanding the power of forecasting, providing market/competitive feedback and achieving customer satisfaction relative to sales activities will be part of your day to day activities.
- This position will require an individual who is customer focused, results oriented, highly motivated to succeed, operates with a sense of urgency, has an excellent work ethic with excellent organisation skills and maintains the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
**Minimum Requirements/Qualification**:
- Relevant degree in Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry.
- Experience working with Microbiology products is an advantage.
- Full / Clean Driving License (Travel will be 80% spent travelling in the territory)
- Must live on in Switzerland or near border and be able to commute/work in Switzerland 4 days per week.
- There will be a need for overnight stays when travelling
- Previous direct/recent experience with Microbiology products or similar
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent English language skills with additional languages a distinct advantage (in particular German, French, Italian)
- Relevant skills/experience in a similar market environment
**Highly Advantageous Requirements/Qualifications**:
- Proven sales experience and track record of over delivery, strong business acumen and customer focus
- Proven ability to promote teamwork and work effectively across multiple business functions and networks internally
- Understands / demonstrates the necessity for effective planning and execution using available tools for effective Territory Management
- Demonstrates strong relationship management and negotiation skills
- Experience of Microbiology products within a clinical laboratory
