**A day in the life**:
Provide strong strategic and operational leadership to sales team responsible for the Microbiology products in a country to guarantee growth and profitability targets are met across all product lines.
- Management of the Food/Industry Sales Team in the territory
- Deliver revenue growth and margin expansion
- Active support of acquiring new customers and new business
- Generating sales forecast and delivery monthly business reviews on the territory
- Engagement with marketing and product management in new product introductions
- Developing sales strategy, activities, and customer projects
- Coaching and development of team members to maximise sales agility
- Frequent contact with customer or strategic accounts with sales team and Key Account Manager
- Reports market trends or highlights and customer voice to marketing teams.
- Accurately forecast quarterly revenues
- Build a high-performance team by developing, hiring and engaging highly talented and motivated employees.
- Identify innovative and creative ways to protect and grow the core business
- Be a contributing leader of the EMEA leadership team, driving collaboration to ensure achievement of growth.
- Demonstrate and champion core authentic leadership behaviours. Promote diversity, including with respect to experience and thought leadership.
- Continually look to improve the sales processes, people, and sales coverage within the business.
- Employ and embrace Practical Process Improvement as a means to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercial organisation.- Drive to achieve targets and to close year above plan
- Supervision, coaching and mentoring of the sales team
- Regular feedback discussions with sales team
- Support sales team in negotiation of price and quotes with customers
- Price settings and calculation of margins
- Responsible for accurate CRM data management directly with sales team input
- Supervision of quotation and price renewal process and use of tools to manage
- Coordination of Marketing strategies with sales team
- Coordination of cross-divisional activities within Thermo Fisher
- Consolidate and deliver monthly business review containing revenue, customer and market information
- Organization and direction of team meetings
- Monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), forecast etc.
- Networking with market relevant organizations and institutions
- Interphase to Brand management, Tactical Marketing, Finance, Operations, Service & Logistics
- Cooperation to further develop sales support and controlling
- Analysis of sales territories and their potential to grow business
- Manage the annual performance review with sales team to ensure meeting business performance and individual development goals (PMD)

**The keys to success**:

- University degree (biology, biochemistry, medicine, veterinary, pharmacy), technical college (food technology) or trained medical, biological or chemical assistant
- Experience in field sales with a minimum 3 years managerial responsibility is preferred but not essential, if on a management track
- Business administration and management skills
- Leadership competence, high level of working independently
- Commercial knowledge, Service oriented and excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English language (oral and writing)
