As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

**Responsibilities**:
Technical lead for Metallic material topics and guidance of Metallic M&P engineers

Responsibility for all related Metallic M&P activities within and outside the organisation

Responsibility for ensuring compliance with EASA and related regulations with respect to Metallic materials and processes

To identify and evaluate future Metallic materials and processes for Kopter use

To validate Kopter documentation with respect to Metallic Material & Processes

To provide or manage technical support to the Design Office, SQA for audits of DO and PO suppliers and to Production

Your qualifications

Hold a degree in engineering discipline (Aerospace, Materials or equivalent)

Minimum 10 years of relevant professional Materials & Processes experience

Very good knowledge of aerospace Metallic (Aluminium and Steel alloys) material characteristics, at least 5 years of aerospace industrial experience

English minimum B2
