This position is in the Project Management Organization (PMO) of Value Chain Development & Optimization (VCD&O). Value Chain Development & Optimization (VCD&O) is part of Janssen Supply Chain Value Chain Management. VCD&O ensures flawless product strategy execution and timely and reliable delivery of pharmaceutical products to our patients across the product lifecycle, globally.

**Project Manager, Value Chain Management (f/m/d)**

Overall Vision/Role

We are looking for a dynamic project management leader to lead multiple portfolio optimization projects. The Project Manager will collaborate and communicate effectively with cross-functional team members and Senior Leaders. As a fit for this role, you have experience in the successful delivery of multiple lifecycle management projects, as well as process improvement and analytics. This role requires proficiency in project management, data and project metric analysis, business process improvement, leadership, executive communication, influencing, and crafting strategy within ambiguity. The selected individual will be highly focused and self-directed to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of projects in accordance with defined scope. Responsibilities include people leadership of consultants supporting project management execution, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership
- Drive activities to meet project and business objectives including development of strategies, recommendation, and building Business Case including gaining Leadership alignment
- Drive team accountability for results and ensure projects meet defined project objectives
- Influence others beyond own scope and level; deliver clear, timely and effective verbal and written communication to teams, business partners, and appropriate levels of the organization
- Demonstrate team performance management; ask the right questions to understand business impact and risks
- Make the complex simple when communicating opportunities and plans to the organization
- Conduct Lessons Learned; translate recurring issues and risks into future process improvements for project management

Project Execution
- Deliver transparent, timely and effective verbal and written communication to teams, stakeholders, and appropriate levels of the organization
- Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders, lead development and delivery of tactical and achievable mitigation and contingency planning
- Monitor project status and execution; report timely updates via project templates, dashboards, and update forms
- Scope definitions and control: stakeholder alignment, project planning, resource and risk management, team development and communication
- Engage teams in healthy debate/conflict resolution, and deliver team aligned option business solutions

**Qualifications**:
Required:

- A minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience
- Strong oral, written, presentation and influencing skills
- Strong Business and Financial Acumen
- Experience leading cross-functional, self-organized teams to deliver project results with focus on business agility and measurable outcomes
- Experience in Life Cycle Project Management and/or Acquisition & Divestitures
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze and distill complex information, and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

Preferred:

- Project Management Certification: Flawless Project Execution (FPX) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Experience with standard PM tools and templates (Microsoft Office Project, Microsoft, Microsoft PowerPoint,)
- Exposure to an international working environment
- Experience working in a regulated pharmaceutical environment
- Experience in shaping and deploying process improvements and optimizations
- Demonstrated leadership & influencing skills across organizational levels

Other:

- This position may require up to 15% domestic and international travel.
