Unep Internship for Communication

The UNEP Internship for Communication is for six (6) months.
The Internship is UNPAID and full-time.
Interns work five days per week (40 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.
Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
**Responsibilities**:
The intern will work with the Secretariat of the Partnership for Action on Green Economy housed in the Resources Markets Branch, UNEP. More specifically, the intern will support the following tasks:
- Support development and maintenance of the PAGE website. Knowledge of WordPress is a plus.
- Support production of print, web and/or multimedia communication materials, including infographics, flyers, texts, publications, newsletters. Knowledge of Canva and Mailchimp is desired.
- Support PAGE social media presence, including development and scheduling of regular posts as well as reporting and community management. Knowledge of all relevant social media platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc is a plus.
- Support drafting and editing of PAGE documents, publications, reports, newsletters, regular updates, blogs, web stories and other communication materials.
- Support preparation and implementation of PAGE global and regional events
- Support organization of meetings, webinars and workshops, including by developing and coordinating meeting documents, logistics and/or other resources
- Support other activities as requested.

Education
a. Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher);
b. Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent);
c. Have graduated with a university degree and, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
The intern must provide documentation of being:
(i) enrolled in a Master's or in a Ph.D. programme, or (ii) in the final year of a Bachelor’s programme; or (iii) within one year after graduation from a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. programme.
Work Experience
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this internship, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of Spanish and French language is desirable.
