The challenge:
As a Market Development Manager Medical Nutrition EMEA, you will be part of the HNC Department.

He/she will be asked to identify opportunities for such new products and to develop new growth projects. In doing so, they need to understand the brand positioning of the customer, the market dynamics and the consumer needs in order to create a winning concept.

The position:

- Understands market dynamics in own and customer markets
- Gets insight of consumer needs
- Understands how to comply with market regulatory requirements
- Masters Health Benefit Solutions to answer market trends and consumer needs
- Supports the Account Managers for the development and implementation of strategic customer plans
- Identify the right customers, marketers and prospects to create growth projects according to the Segment strategies
- Actively investigates and deeply understands customer’s needs in terms of brand positioning and innovation strategy
- Deeply understands the production processes and equipment, commonly used in processing of powdered and liquid infant formula processing, including packaging, storage and distribution.
- Builds privileged customer relationships - especially with customer Marketing and R&D departments - and influences customer’s decision makers and process
- Knows how to promote all products, more specifically, Proteins, Amino-Acids, Nutritional Lipids, premixes and Glycare HMOs
- Uses value proposition for straights, premixes and Market Ready solutions
- Knows competitors’ offerings and value propositions
- Captures value by identifying market opportunities for existing and new products
- Identifies new business opportunities for the right customers and marketers together with the Account Manager
- Facilitates product launches and achieve quick sales start for new products and product forms
- Cooperates with the regional Account Manager to elaborate an innovation strategy in his/her region
- Supports and challenges where needed the Account Manager for the focused conversion of the CRM project funnel into sales and actively engages in efficient project management, especially takes the lead during the development phase of top projects
- Orchestrates cross-functional support activities for top growth projects
- Shares insights with other Market Development Managers
- Collaborate with Regional Segment Marketing Managers to implement regional Segment plans
- Acts as an active team player in global Key Accounts teams

The Ideal:

- University degree or equivalent experience in science, technology or business-related field
- Very good knowledge of the Medical nutrition: key players, market dynamics, consumer trends and ingredient suppliers
- Knowledge of DSM key product categories, such as Vitamins, Nutritional Lipids, Premixes and/ or HMOs is a plus
- Good understanding of production processes and equipment used in processing of powdered and liquid medical/clinical nutrition formula.
- Excellent integrating, projet management and communication skills
- Strongly self-motivated; solves business problems and works well with limited supervision
- Able to perform in a fast-paced work environment where constant re-prioritization is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English, any other language is an asset
