Altogether, PSI employs 2200 people.For many years Laboratory for Waste Management conducts a multi-disciplinary research on radionuclides retention and transport in the field of geological disposal of radioactive waste using a unique combination of experimental infrastructure and modelling capabilities. Such studies have strong synergies with the field of environmental engineering, circular economy including carbon capture and sequestration and long term performance of natural and engineered barrier systems.We are looking for a**Group Leader****:
Repository geochemistry

**Your tasks**:

- Lead a small group of scientists and technicians with focus on an experimental research program in the context of retention and transport of contaminants in underground repository systems
- Develop expert knowledge and actively use PSI large-scale research infrastructure, head the chemistry and radioanalytics laboratories and acquire funding for research project and supervise PhD and postdoc projects
- Maintain and widen national and international collaborations with other institutions involved in nuclear waste disposal research
- Disseminate scientific results in leading scientific journal and consult waste disposal implementers with scientific expertise

**Your profile**:
You have leadership, personnel and laboratory management skills, innovative thinking and a strong motivation to launch collaborative projects. Excellent knowledge of English is required and knowledge of German is beneficial.
