JOB SUMMARY
Provides overall marketing leadership for the Cell Saver product range in the EMEA/ANZ region. Establishes, directs, and coordinates business development and marketing activities by conducting market research, evaluating sales performance, and reviewing or formulating global and/or regional marketing data and results. Assists and supports the development of marketing strategy in conjunction with the global marketing teams, such as conducting conjoint analysis and obtaining market intelligence and data. Acts as the product champion in the region. Offers support and provides platforms to increase product knowledge and utilisation, internally and externally, to support continuous sales growth through marketing initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
- Provides marketing leadership for the Cell Saver product range in the EMEA/ANZ region.
- Supports the Cell Saver product line and sales initiatives with effective methodologies and strategies to ensure achievement of Annual Operating Plan.
- Develops deep product/category understanding, including competitor analysis, to ensure relevant product/category planning and tactics are developed and appropriately communicated and launched to the field forces.
- Collaborates with field teams to develop customer programmes that are in line with strategic direction; leveraging these programs to support market growth and drive improved standard of care.
- Takes primary lead for launching new products and services within EMEA/ANZ, using the right tools and programmes, and crafts regional strategies for new product, discontinuations and obsolescence.
- Supports Global Marketing with input for development of strategies and programmes to meet revenue goals.
- Leads the successful implementation of annual strategic marketing plans, the development and implementation of the regional tactical marketing plan, providing field teams with the necessary product/category expertise to ensure appropriate positioning, value proposition, pricing and competitive edge.
- Compiles and analyses competitive information on market trends, tracks key statistics and appropriately communicates updates internally.
- Conducts analysis of customer base and identifies solutions to trends and changes in demands to ensure that product line plans are achieved.
- Ensures customers have access to useful product line information and that customer communications are developed and distributed when required.
- Builds productive relationships with influential customers within the assigned product/category.
- Participates in or may lead customer focus groups, surveys and other initiatives to ensure we are in tune with customer needs.
- Participates in cross functional project teams; interfaces with other business units and functions as required to achieve HAE overall goals.
- Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication throughout the organisation.
- Works together with Supply Chain to aid and find solutions related to supply situations and ensures that all markets are appropriately informed.
- Tracks assigned product/category profitability. Prepares and reports on monthly performance including key metrics and deliverables as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree - Marketing/Business/Engineering - required
MBA or Master’s Degree - Business, Engineering or Science - preferred
EXPERIENCE
5 years Marketing experience in the healthcare / med device sector is required
2 years Product training and/or product management experience working with mature medical products is preferred
1 year Health care products, medical device or solutions sales experience is preferred
1 year Project/program management is preferred
SKILLS & OTHER CAPABILITIES
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication/marketing communication and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including sales & marketing leadership.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with customers, and multi-functional partners, with the ability to capture and analyse customer insights.
- Ability to influence internal and/or external constituents.
- Possess a strong bias for action and growth orientation; an “ownership mentality” that motivates and encourages sales leadership and field sales teams to focus on his/her product category.
- Action oriented with the ability to drive for results.
- Ability to analyse and interpret market data.
- Sufficient level of business & financial acumen.
