Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Drug Product Project Leader to join a brilliant pharmaceutical organisation on a contract basis located in Basel. Our client is focused on offering novel healthcare solutions that acknowledge the developing requirements of people and communities.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For this role, you will be responsible for guiding and organising the global drug product sub-team which consists of functional experts such as formulation and process development, analytics, production, devices or regulatory, as well as serve as a delegate for drug product development on the international CMC team.
- When needed, write or assess regulatory CMC papers and commune with health authorities.
- You will be the tactical guide in drug product.
- When required, you will acclimatise project approaches and prioritise project actions.
- Operating within a multidisciplinary and global team, documenting scientific/technical outcomes and represent the company at meetings, giving discussions, contributing to industry consortiums, and publishing documents on an internal basis.
- Responsible for approved upon deliverables to the CMC team as well as handle the evolvement within biologics projects.
- Actively convey project tactics and material needs.
- Any other assigned duties.

- Scientific guidance skills with the ability to think interdisciplinary as well as the capacity to work well in a cross-functional, global team.
- Solid presentation capabilities.
- Possess scientific/technical authoring abilities.

**Requirements**:

- Educated to an advanced degree level in a chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, pharmaceutical technology or similar discipline.
- At least 2-5 years of experience working within a biotech or pharma organisation with excellent knowledge of biologics drug product formulation and process development, production, scale-up and technology handover.
- Familiarity with protein analytics, lyophilization, primary packaging development for biologics as well as regulatory proposals would all be beneficial for the role, but not necessary.
- Fluency in the English language with knowledge in German.
