In close coordination with the OHCHR Assessment Team, the consultant will co-draft an assessment report that will set out analysis and findings regarding the issues covered by the assessment, as set out above, and provide recommendations regarding options to meet the information management needs of investigative bodies supported by OHCHR, with suggested appropriate tools to meet these needs. The report will also outline the resources needed to acquire, maintain and support sustainably the suggested platforms and tools. It will include any further recommendations related to strengthening information management support to investigative mandates that may arise from the assessment. A final report will be presented to the respective Directors, including any points of divergence that remain.

**Responsibilities**:
Provide technical expertise and knowledge on information management tools and the development and/or refinement of the pertinent qualitative and quantitative data collection efforts for the assessment, including questionnaires for consultations with investigative body staff and others.
2. Data collection and analysis of information gathered, in particular translating information management needs into technical requirements (functional, non-functional and sustainability), and contributing technical expertise and knowledge on information management tools to assess which tool/s best address the needs of staff of investigative bodies and accountability projects.
3. Provide technical input to enable a comprehensive understanding of the functionalities of current and other information management tools and their suitability to support relevant workflows and methodologies, including through adaptation and tailored configuration.
4. Co-drafting of an assessment report with recommendations and proposals
Qualifications/special skills
A post-graduate degree in Information Management Electronic Discovery, Data Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or related field, or a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the collection, analysis and management of digital information in lieu of a post-graduate degree.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations. For the post advertised,
fluency in oral and written English is required; knowledge of another UN language an
advantage.
