**Matterhorn Bioscience**s is looking for **a **Scientist, Molecular / Cellular Biology or Immunology**.**

Matterhorn Biosciences is a preclinical stage biotechnology company pioneering the discovery and development of novel T cell therapy for cancer treatment. We are an exciting motivated group of scientists who are determined to make a difference for modern human medicine.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

You will further strengthen our team by contributing to the development of Matterhorn Biosciences. You will help increase the biological understanding of programs as well as developing novel biological assays to help propel our company forward. Your role will be comprised of:

- Designing and execution of in vitro assays, in line with our MR1 discovery research efforts
- Characterizing in vitro phenotypes from cell-based assays and formulating mechanistic hypotheses to further the molecular investigations
- Contributing through data generation to strategic decision making of our team

As a member of our growing team, you will increasingly be expected to take responsibility for the design and completion of experiments including careful documentation and presentation of results in internal and external meetings.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- BSc/MSc/PhD in biological sciences (desirable previous experience in metabolic pathways) or a laboratory apprenticeship from a major pharmaceutical company or other similar experience in biotech or industry
- Advanced skills in transfection and transduction of cancer/primary cells; CRISPR/Cas9 editing skills also desirable
- Flow cytometry staining and analysis for surface markers and cell viability; cell sorting with flow cytometry e.g. pos. /neg. magnetic bead selection
- Co-culture and T-cell activation assays; medium to high-throughput functional cell assay development and execution
- Cellular signaling assessment using reporters; ELISA assays
- Pharmacological titration of small and large molecules
- Know-how experimental design and ability to work independently
- Able to work in a highly flexible environment
- Able to communicate with team members and cross-functional project teams
- Good English communication skills, both oral and written
