The global commercial organization at GSK is evolving in line with our portfolio in three key product areas (Vaccines, Specialty, and General Medicines) and the breadth and depth of our pipeline. To ensure the successful delivery of our global product strategies, GPS (Global Product Strategy teams) partner closely with R&D and key markets to ensure we drive competitive product profiles, including life cycle innovation and preparing for excellent launches for our growing late-stage pipeline.

Insights and Analytics as well as Competitive Intelligence are key to maximizing the value of our products for patients and for the company. To further strengthen our capability in this critical function, we are recruiting the Head Global Strategic Insights (GSI) Hematology.

The Head Global Strategic Insights (GSI) Hematology role requires a strategic, integrative thinker to lead the insight, analytics, valuation, and evaluation of strategic fit for the Hematology businesses in GSK Oncology. This role serves as a thought-partner to commercial leads in identifying opportunities for growth and with a focus on the needs of the hematology Medicine Commercial and Development Leaders.

**Head Global Strategic Insights (GSI) Hematology***:
**Job Purpose**:
The role involves influencing key business decisions based on data, research, analytics, and actionable insights to meet the genuine unmet needs of patients, health care practitioners and health ecosystem. For this, the Head GSI Hematology will partner with commercial, medical and development leadership to effectively evaluate drivers of value, unmet need and develop a data-based perspective on the demand potential of pre-commercial assets within specific scenarios and local operating companies on forecast for approved indications. Another key purpose is to ensure the development and utilization of the insights that underpin global strategies and socialize insights from LOCs that reflect best practices or lessons learned. In this role, recommending, influencing, planning, and overseeing the GSI teams’ execution of research and analytics for hematology assets based on an in-depth understanding of the products/segments, competitive environment, business model, and challenges/opportunities are also key missions. As member of the GSI Oncology leadership team, the role involves working with colleagues in the broader GSI community to further develop our core capabilities, organizational impact, and effectiveness in ways of working with other functions, regions, and local operating companies (LOCs).

**Key Responsibilities will be**:

- Operate as a strategic business partner to Hematology leadership
- Support and partner with insight directors on the individual cross-functional teams
- Ensure that GSI hematology brands/assets insight directors have excellent annual learning plans, embracing best practices and innovative approaches to address the highest value business questions
- Ensure that the Disease Area Strategy hematology team is guided by strong foundational insights, with prudent investment in supplemental learning resources when warranted
- Ensure 100% adherence to market research and corporate compliance guidelines
- Contribute to a positive culture of learning and continuous improvement by developing/refining processes to achieve better business outcomes

**Basic Qualifications**:

- BA/BS required
- Previous Oncology experience required
- 12-15 years of professional experience (including 3+ years in pharmaceuticals) or 6+ years with advanced degree (3+ years in healthcare)
- 10+ years of marketing or commercial analysis related experience (market research, marketing/sales analytics, forecasting, etc.)
- Strong business acumen required
- Demonstrated Leadership (first line leader experience or successful matrix leadership or enterprise leadership) required

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- MBA, MS, or MA in business, marketing science, or science
- Significant experience conducting qualitative and quantitative market research
- Ability to leverage and synthesize a broad range of information sources to develop insight and generate clear, actionable recommendations that impact/drive decision-making at a business unit level
- Deep understanding of the global pharmaceutical industry
- Strong verbal and written communication/ presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively across a matrix environment and influence without formal authority
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior commercial leadership
- Agility, flexibility, and comfort with ambiguity
- Experience managing direct reports and leading without authority
- Ability to lead through change and inspire agility/flexibility amongst team
