**Presentation**:
A PhD position is available at the newly created Department of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Lausanne (Switzerland) starting September 1st, 2023, for a project supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the University of Lausanne focusing on the biological mechanisms mediating cardiac diseases. The research interests of our laboratory are focused on the elucidation of the molecular bases of heart failure. Toward this end we are investigating the function of multifunctional signaling complexes regulating pathological responses in cardiac cells and we aim at developing molecular strategies targeting these complexes as a primary mean to prevent heart failure.

**Your responsibilities**:
You will be taking advantage of mouse pathophysiological models, genetically engineered mice, state the art proteomic, molecular biology, imaging and cell biology techniques to investigate the role of newly identified signal transduction complexes in regulating responses that contribute to dysfunction in diseased hearts.

**Your qualifications**:
We are seeking highly motivated students with a good background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cardiac physiology, capable of working collaboratively in a research team of international researchers. Good English writing skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently are expected. Applicants should hold a Master degree in biology, biochemistry, or a related discipline.
