The doctoral researcher will work in a research project financed by the Swiss Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (FSVO) to examine the feasibility and acceptance of policy measures in the field of animal health. The aim of this applied research project is to develop a strategy for the implementation of measures for the prevention and control of diseases in pets. The project is implemented by the Ethics and Policy Lab of the Multidisciplinary Center for Infectious Diseases (MCID) and the workplace will be located at the KPM Center for Public Management. The position is funded for three years.

Tasks
- Conduct empirical (literature and document analysis, stakeholder interviews, online surveys and survey experiment) and write a PhD dissertation
- Publish in international scientific journals and present at national and international conferences
- Organization of stakeholder workshops and meetings of the project's support group
- Collaboration in the Ethics and Policy Lab and within the MCID

**Requirements**:

- Excellent Master's degree in political science, administrative sci-ence, social science, or a related discipline relevant for the project
- Very good knowledge of empirical research methods
- Knowledge of the Swiss public administration is an asset
- Very good knowledge of German and English, French is an asset
- Team-orientation, commitment, capability to work independently
