**Your role**
- Are you an experienced leader with a broad range of skills in the Cyber Security? Are you an expert in the areas of security logging, monitoring, event detection, and orchestration?
- We are looking for a Head of Security Logging and Monitoring Technology to:
- provide expert advice and guidance on a modern security logging and monitoring architecture for the bank
- oversee the design, delivery, and operation of the data and technology platforms that support the security logging and monitoring
- provide insights into industry developments, new products or services, or research released to security logging and monitoring
- develop strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to advance the program agenda and related enterprise goals in support of the CISO’s strategic plans
- drive strategic development, planning and execution of key program objectives

**Your team**
- You will lead the Security Logging and Monitoring Technology team within the Cyber Technology & Architecture organization, which aligns to the bank’s global CISO organization. You will be reporting into the Head of Cyber Technology & Architecture, with an accountability for organizational management, strategy, and delivery within the Security Logging and Monitoring function.

**Your expertise**
- 10+ years of experience in senior global technology roles, most of which will have been spent in the field of Cybersecurity or Technology Risk. Financial Services experience is a plus.
- expert level knowledge of:

- all aspects of security event logging, including log collection, transport, filtering, and storage
- security monitoring technologies and techniques, including on-premise and cloud SIEM, big data analytic systems, rule and use case development, and performance tuning/optimization
- case management and automation/orchestration capabilities and how they can be delivered via SOAR platforms or internally developed solutions
- proven background in delivering change in compressed timeframes
- strong strategic thought leadership and problem-solving
- track record of success in collaborating with, partnering with, and influencing senior technologists and leaders within the organization
- proven ability to proactively solve problems and develop strategic recommendations with objective rationale
- ability to leverage data to make effective business decisions
- self-starter able to execute independently, on a deadline, and under pressure
- confident decision maker who can execute on objectives even when faced with ambiguity or uncertainty; able to convert information into quantifiable concepts
