Who we are looking for

The Swiss Institutional Business Team is responsible for establishing, leading and developing relationships with the largest and most sophisticated Swiss institutional investors. The unit is focused on developing our business with pension schemes, wealth managers, financial institutions, insurances, fiduciary managers and platforms, helping to grow assets under management and revenue.

The team’s focus is twofold: to deepen and expand our relationship with our strategically important clients, bringing them the very best of State Street, and to achieve ambitious sales targets by introducing new relationships to the firm.

You will build meaningful, trust-based relationships with our prospects and clients, their advisors and other service providers, as you help us to address their challenges with the aim of becoming their primary investment partner.

In addition to working on several client and prospects accounts, your role will be to help the team expand its Fixed Income footprint in Switzerland through targeted prospecting which will involve market analysis and commercial proposal structuring. You will operate as the team’s primary Fixed Income expert to support our ambitions across EMD, HY, Climate, Credit and Sovereign capabilities.

What you will be responsible for

As an Sales & Relationship Manager in the Swiss Institutional Business Team you will
- Take the lead for a portfolio of clients and build mutually beneficial and longstanding relationships that are valuable for our clients and encourage them to make us their first call
- Be responsible for the targeted prospecting of new relationships whom we can partner with to develop innovative investment solutions for their clients, members or beneficiaries. Supporting to diversify our client mix further
- Work energetically to create investment solutions which address the needs of our clients and prospects, leveraging the broad heritage and investment capabilities of the firm whilst contributing to revenue targets
- Ensure clients and their advisors receive a positive experience by overseeing exceptional servicing across all contact points, preempting any possible problems and actively enhancing standards
- Support other members of the team with commercial proposal structuring, market analysis, market insight and management reporting
- Work closely with global colleagues in Sales and Relationship Management, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Product and Operations to ensure that we grow and maintain our business in a client-centric manner
- Safeguarding the integrity and culture of our firm by championing risk and compliance policies that protect our clients' interests and those of SSGA

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Completed university degree or equivalent degree from a business school (FH)
- Strong technical ability with investment industry knowledge required, CFA/CAIA/AZEK would be a strong plus
- Fluent in German and English, French and/or Italian a plus
- Additional requirements
- Prior experience as a fixed income investment professional (managing or servicing fixed income portfolios) will be considered a plus
- Prior experience as an investment consultant will be considered a plus
