**Description of the assignment**

Further to the third European Directive on anti-money laundering and its transposition under French and Swiss regulations, the KYC team is in charge of establishing and maintaining KYC (“Know Your Customer”) files for all new as well as existing clients of BNP Paribas Securities Services, Paris, succursale de Zurich. The Head of KYC has the responsibility to ensure the well functioning of the team at all times and to comply with regulations and procedures under the team’s scope. In a changing environment the Head of KYC contributes to the department’s vision and building of a sustainable culture that allows the individuals’ and team’s growth. Leading by example and living the guiding principles are key factors to successfully fulfil the mission.
Principal

**Responsibilities**:
The following duties reflect the core responsibilities that the role of the Team Head implies in order to contribute to the overall mission of the KYC team and larger Business Implementation framework. It is to highlight that these can evolve in time as the business follows a dynamic process.

**Main activities**

**Team Lead**:

- Ensure the team has a proper structural and cultural environment
- Establish and foster a positive team work culture allowing an active learning culture
- Ensure the capacity of the team is well managed and the development of the individual team members is taken into consideration
- Understand when to escalate and how to manage issues
- Full HR responsibility
- Proactively contribute to the team’s overall vision and goal which is achievement of a high data quality and compliance with internal and external regulations and procedures
- Manage hybrid team set-ups

**Specific Duties**:

- Hold different meetings such as CCSC
- Close monitoring of KYC reviews over existing clients in strict abidance with the new KYC procedure
- Responsible for monitoring completion of reserves for files validated with reserves if missing
- Vigilance and FACTIVA checks of all UBO’s and Executives determining any possible PEP (Politically Exposed People) if accordance with actual checklist from Compliance and the KYC procedure
- Keep detailed overview and statistics of pending and next KYC reviews
- Ensure correct and timely input in CERISE system
- Participating in BAC and CAC meetings
- Ensure important KYC related information is shared with the different stakeholders (sales, coverage and Fund Rep team, on-boarding team)
- Participation in the improvement and optimization processes in relation to the execution of KYC files
- Inform Line Manager, Compliance Officer and Client Coverage Team’s in case of unusual client information and/or unusual transactions in a timely manner
- Ensure correct search of names in CERISE due to instructions received from Risk Team (official Researches)
