Senior Manager, EM Category - Janssen

The Senior Manager, EM Category - Janssen will be responsible for leading an External Manufacturing network approximately for up to $300 million in spend across the Janssen Supply Chain Vaccines Platform for Johnson & Johnson Companies. This individual will be responsible for managing the relationships of strategic suppliers and requires a close collaboration with key stakeholders within the business to execute. This individual will identify, develop, and direct the implementation of Procurement goals and strategy as well as plan and direct the organization’s activities and deliver against targets for financial performance, quality, service, and compliance adherence.

This role will work closely with Janssen PES (Partnerships & External Supply) to manage Janssen Third Party Manufacturing suppliers for Vaccines’ platforms driving ownership of the applicable commercial relationships as a core member of the EM partnership, along with Planning, Quality, and Technical Operations.

It will provide Regional Leadership for developing end-to-end category leadership such as category strategy development, maintaining key relationships within the business and managing key supplier relationships. The position must shape, connect, and lead resources to deliver on key projects.

**The Senior Manager, EM Category - Janssen scope of responsibilities include**:

- Develop and drive the Procurement vision: shaping supplier solutions that will transform healthcare.
- Develop robust supplier strategies and leverage the J&J spend to create and negotiate master supply agreements
- Developing the category strategy to include the vision, strategy and implementation plan for a specific category or categories of spend that will effectively meet the long-range requirements of the business partners and deliver the maximum value for J&J
- Understand long range requirements of the business partners and engage in strategic planning and partnering to ensure alignment
- Drive advanced sourcing activities that align with category and network strategy and lead supplier selection for new products and business continuity
- Identify & drive solutions for unmet business needs and challenges through supplier enabled innovation
- Interface directly with CEO’s and other supplier leadership to assure alignment of JNJ’s objectives are met, including quality, reliability, innovation, and cost.
- Develop deep supplier relationships with strategic suppliers to include data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end-to-end value, and bring innovation to the business
- Drives innovative and sustainable cost competitive solutions for base business, new products and licensed partners utilizing cost models, robust negotiation strategies and sourcing best practices
- Understands operational considerations. Identifies business demand requirements and partners with Business Engagement Leads to deliver annual value improvements and drives competitive advantage.
- Conduct CIP ideation sessions with suppliers
- Deliver on financial, service, reliability, quality, innovation, and growth commitments
- Build and maintain relationships throughout JNJ that results in dynamic interactive dialogue on a broad range of perspectives and information critical to the development of optimal approaches and solutions
- Escalate issues that may impact the Janssen Supply Chain and the Enterprise Procurement organization.
- Support the Sustainable Procurement Program and the Health for Humanity Supplier Diversity program

**Major Duties & Responsibilities**
